Stronger than Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson? Will this star of 50 action movies return to the movies soon? – Movie news

When will we see Jason Statham in the movies again? After the disappointments of “In Very Troubled Waters” and “Expendables 4,” will the action star surprise us again?

After the disappointing In Very Troubled Waters and Expendables 4, will Jason Statham return in an action movie worthy of the name? At 56 years old, is the British actor beginning to soften? If the trailer for his latest project is to be believed, that’s not the case at all!

Jason is a father!

With The Beekeeper, Jason Statham returns to the fray, as the film has been a success on American soil since its release last January. So far it has raised $65 million in the United States and more than $150 million internationally. Directed by David Ayer, to whom we owe Fury and Suicide Squad, The Beekeeper does not yet have a release date in France.

Jason Statham plays Adam Clay. His revenge takes on a national dimension after it is revealed that he is a former agent of a powerful underground organization known as the “Beekeepers.” The charismatic Brit has another project in the works with David Ayer: Levon’s Trade.

Currently in pre-production, this film should mark the reunion between Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone after Expendables 4. However, they should not act as each other because Stallone would only be responsible for the script.

Stallone writes, Statham fights!

Statham will don the costume of Levon Cade, a repentant criminal who now works in construction. Soon, his boss’s daughter, Jenny, goes missing and he must repurpose the skills that made him a legendary figure in the world of black ops. Filming for Levon’s Trade is expected to begin in spring 2024 in London.

It should be noted that this film will mark the return to the script of Sylvester Stallone, whose last scripts date back to Rambo Last Blood in 2019 and Creed II in 2018. Levon’s Trade is precisely an adaptation of a comic by Chuck Dixon, the first in a series of successful comics on the other side of the Atlantic.

Obviously, we will also see Jason Statham again in Fast and Furious 11, the latest installment of the supercharged action franchise. He will reprise his role as Deckard Shaw alongside Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa. At the moment, we do not know if a sequel to the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off will also see the light of day.
