Logan Mailloux traded? Stéphane Waite adds fuel to the fire

Stéphane Waite says anything.

It is regrettable to note that Stéphane Waite, in his recent statements, seems to have lost all sense of logic and credibility.

Confidently stating that Kaiden Guhle is the only untouchable defenseman within the Montreal Canadiens organization, he claims that Logan Mailloux would be on the trade market.

This statement is not only unfounded, but borders on ridiculous. Waite doesn’t seem to realize that Mailloux is 100 percent untouchable.

Stating that Mailloux would be available on the trading market only sows confusion and recalls past legal disputes related to the defense.

It is important to highlight with a yellow marker that if Mailloux were really on the trade market, as Waite claims, he would already be in Anaheim.

The Anaheim Ducks made it clear to CH that they wanted Guhle or Mailloux in exchange for Trevor Zegras.

We must also remember the statements of Kent Hughes, who stated that Xhekaj would not be transferred. This clear and official information unilaterally contradicts Stéphane Waite’s statements.

“Our plans are not to trade Arber Xhekaj. He is not in the American League because he is no longer in our plans. (credit: TVA Sports)

“Arber was injured last year and again this year. “Last year we couldn’t afford to give that up in the American League.”

“This year, Struble showed that he was ready. It’s not that Struble surpassed Xhekaj. It’s that he gave us the opportunity to send him to the American League to work on some aspects of his game.”

“It is not in our plans to change it. If I were, I wouldn’t be in Laval right now.”

Once again, Waite seems more concerned with getting the largest audience possible than with the truth.

Like when the former CH coach said that Samuel Montembeault had a good chance of being traded. A few days later he signed his new contract.

Waite must be careful. 98.5FM too. Because he practically looks like the new Norman Flynn. Waite does not want to become the new clown on duty, he must be careful in the future with his inflammatory statements.
