Francis Ngannou tells of his sad past: “I never had…”

Francis Ngannou gave a big revelation about his life on a recent show.

“Growing up, I always felt like other kids looked down on me because I was the guy who had nothing. It was frustrating at one point.

But at the same time, at some point in my life I realized that it was the best thing that had ever happened to me. Without him, I would not have become what I am today. It was like an education in life.

Life has managed to teach me everything and prepare me for what I will face in the future.

In my childhood, my parents divorced when I was 6 years old. I started living with different family members. My primary school; I attended about 6 different schools.

I have never been tied down anywhere. I never had a friend. To this day, I have no childhood friends. Because I was constantly moving and when I get attached, I am already moved.

I also had the challenge; At school I didn’t have a good profile. I was that kid who was always kicked out of class because he didn’t have a pen to take notes, or a book, or he didn’t pay tuition, or he didn’t have shoes to do physical activities. I was a source of shame.

The other kids weren’t happy to be my friends. In fact, they made me work hard from the beginning.

I was forced to start working in the sand mines when I was 9 years old and my brother was 11, to support the family.

When I was 13, I was kicked out of school. It was around 3 pm. I felt frustrated, angry and thought, ‘What is it about other kids that’s better than me?’ It is a pity’. They look at me like I don’t deserve to be there with them… But actually, I deserve it more because I work hard to have it.’

I never had a vacation, I never went on vacation… I always worked so buying books or paying tuition that day changed things for me. I’m going to show these kids that I’m not beneath them, but better than them. They are lucky to have parents who support them, but they don’t know how hard I work to earn the little I have.

That’s when I decided to do something bigger and more exceptional to prove it to these kids.”said Francis Ngannou with emotion.
